Making your trip on “it’s a small world” personal

“it’s a small world” has become more personal it the past few days. If you’ve ever had the chance to go on this journey around the world you will remember that at the end of the attraction you come into a room that has many different signs saying good-bye in many different languages. Now, using MagicBand technology, Disney has placed screens into the final scene that say good-bye to anyone who happens to have a MagicBand on by putting their name on the screen.

Attractions Magazine has taken a great video showing off the new technology. The screens blend in very well and as you can see display any riders name who has a MagicBand. This should go without saying, but if you don’t have a MagicBand your name isn’t showing up. Because it’s just rolling out, you should expect some glitches while passing through and it would seem more likely if you happen to be waiting to disembark.

With this new addition we are finally getting to see the power behind the MagicBands  and how truly interactive our experiences could be in the park. To this point the MagicBands have only been used for practical purposes like, resort keys, tickets, pictures, and fastpasses. I can’t wait to see what they do next!
