Pirates League

The Pirates League: Something for the boys!

When you go to Disney World it always seems very easy to find things for the girls to do. Get dressed up like a princess, go to Bippidi Boppidi Boutique to get the royal treatment, meet the princesses and much more. It doesn’t seem as easy to find things for the boys to do! That’s where The Pirates League comes in.

The Pirates League

Might as well let Disney give you the description since they are a much better writer than me. Straight from their website, here is what they have to say:

Captain Jack Sparrow’s scurvy crew is scouring the seas in search of treasure—and new recruits!

Sail away with The Pirates League, and transform ye self into a living, breathing swashbuckler from the days of olde.

Pirate Masters will turn you and your crew into swashbuckling buccaneers as they apply beards, scars, eye patches and other piratical access-arrr-ries.

For ages 3 and above, The Pirates Leagues lets your kids become pirates for a day! I know we all wanted to be a pirate at some point in our lives. With two packages to choose from, it will be easy to find one that fits best. Here are the packages you can choose from. Prices starting at 39.95 and go on up from there.

Since I’ve never been here are a few links with reviews and tips.

Disboards forum with information about prices and reviews of the experience. Be sure to go to the last page to get the most recent posts.

Charlene from Charlene Chronicles gives a review. Few years old, but still gives an idea.

ClassyMommy gives a great review with a bunch of photos! Seems to be recent.

Anyway, it’s really hard to find a bad review of The Pirates League and most everyone says it’s definitely worth the price! Here’s a video from the Disney Parks Mom Panel summarizing the experience and a real experience from a real family.

Be sure to check out the official website for more information and consider this experience for your next trip! This looks like a lot of fun, even for the girls and those of us who are still young at heart and never got the chance to be a pirate.
